ENGINEERED WOOD FLOORING - OAK FLOORING - PRE-OILED FLOORING - PRE-LACQUERED FLOORING
Engineered flooring is incredibly stable and ideal for use over under-floor heating.
With the modern methods of building these days and the growth of under-floor heating particularly in more modern properties and new builds, the flooring market has had to adapt to meet new requirements. Engineered flooring has been born out of this evolution in building and circumstances where the use of most solid oak flooring products would not be ideal, engineered flooring has found its place. Engineered wood flooring can be used where humidity and temperature may be a concern. Engineered wood flooring also has as much of a wear layer as a solid timber floor, with up to 6mm of solid oak on a 21mm thick board. It would be possible to re-sand our engineered wood flooring several times without any problem. For those more eco-friendly customers, engineered oak flooring is also kinder to the environment as it uses less of the slow growing timber (oak) and more of the faster growing hardwoods such as birch in the ply base. All of our engineered flooring is manufactured using a high quality multi-layer ply for added stability and is put through a rigorous curing and laminating process which will assure the stability of your floor once fitted.
Our engineered flooring range includes: 148mm x 14mm pre-oiled engineered flooring, 189mm x 15mm pre-oiled engineered flooring & 189mm x 15mm unfinished engineered flooring. We also offer a hand scraped & distressed engineered oak floor which is stained and lacquered to give an antique oak floor appearance and our pre-oiled 189mm x 21mm version which gives you a 6mm oak wear layer. All of our engineered oak flooring is supplied in a light character grade which will include some knots and wild grain which creates a very interesting and impressive floor indeed. Our engineered flooring is so versatile that it can fitted as a floating floor, fixed using a more typical method of secret nailing or glued using our lecol floor adhesive. We think that you will agree that our engineered wood flooring looks like a solid wood floor, performs better than a solid wood floor and even a trained eye would struggle to tell the difference.
